Jewelry Care

Natural gemstones and fine jewelry deserve thoughtful care. A few simple habits will help preserve their colour, polish and setting.

Everyday Wear

  • Put jewelry on after perfume, lotion, hairspray and cosmetics have dried.
  • Remove pieces before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping or household cleaning.
  • Avoid impact, pressure and prolonged exposure to heat, moisture, salt water and chemicals.

Cleaning

After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a clean, soft and dry cloth. For most pieces, avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, abrasive cloths and harsh commercial solutions. When in doubt, contact us before cleaning.

Natural Gemstones

Each natural gemstone is unique. Subtle variations in colour, inclusions, clouding and texture are part of its natural character. Some stones—including turquoise, amber, lapis lazuli and southern red agate—can be sensitive to chemicals, heat or prolonged moisture, so use only a soft dry cloth.

Silver & Plated Finishes

Sterling silver may naturally develop tarnish over time. Gently polish it with a silver-safe cloth, avoiding direct rubbing on gemstones or plated surfaces. Plated finishes should be cleaned lightly and kept dry to help preserve their colour.

Storage

Store each piece separately in its pouch or jewelry box, away from direct sunlight, humidity and hard surfaces. Fasten chains before storage to reduce tangling, and avoid stacking pieces that may scratch one another.
